Interest rate hikes are rarely, if ever, a one-time event.
After back-to-back Nasdaq record highs, investors are monitoring US diplomatic efforts with Iran and China, as well as a recent rally in tech stocks.

Stocks were on course to extend their recent rally on Friday as investors carried on loading up on tech names in particular in the aftermath of the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate hike. Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.6%. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures climbed 97 points, or 0.2%.

The S&P 500 and Nasdaq regain their 50-day lines and Treasury yields fall in a bullish day two Fed reaction. SpaceX, AMD, Moderna are buys.

Major stock-market indexes rallied, reversing the declines that followed the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate hike Wednesday. The PHLX Semiconductor Index rose 3.1% after comments from Intel Chief Executive Lip-Bu Tan about soaring memory prices. The Securities and Exchange Commission cleared a path for trading venues to offer tokenized stocks in the U.S., a landmark decision that may overhaul traditional equity markets.

Stocks bounced back on Thursday, more than making up for the Federal Reserve decision-driven downturn seen in the prior session. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite led gains, up 1.7%, but that's not to say the rally was concentrated to one area of the market.

Stocks moved higher, a sharp reversal from yesterday's market action, after the Federal Reserve announced a rate increase. Peter Boockvar, CIO at One Point BFG Wealth Partners, credits the equity gains to easing in Treasury yields, alongside the pullback in oil futures. The Nasdaq Composite climbed 1.6%.

Stocks were rallying to kick off Thursday's session with support from easing oil futures and Treasury yields. The upswing marked a rebound from yesterday's selloff which followed an interest-rate increase from the Federal Reserve and remarks from Chairman Warsh. The S&P 500 gained 1.2%, and the Nasdaq Composite was up 1.6%.
