On this episode of Stock Movers: - Novo Nordisk (NVO) shares are lower as it disappointed investors hoping for concrete turnaround plans from Chief Executive Officer Mike Doustdar after losing its lead in the obesity market to Eli Lilly & Co. The company pledged to launch more than five blockbusters and deliver more than $23 billion in new sales in coming years, but investors are selling shares due to lack of concrete news. - Arhaus (ARHS) is moving after Jefferies upgraded the furniture company to buy from hold, writing that it has "newfound optimism on the retailer's strategy to elevate brand awareness" and improve market share. - Accenture (ACN) is up on news Anthropic is partnering with Accenture to test the safety of its advanced artificial intelligence models by embedding evaluators from the consulting firm directly within its operations.

Accenture (NYSE:ACN) shares climbed approximately 6% in premarket trading on Monday after Anthropic announced an agreement under which the IT services company will lead independent safety evaluations of its artificial intelligence models. The partnership, announced on 18 September, involves plans for both companies to invest at least $1 billion each over five years to expand independent AI evaluation capacity.

Accenture shares 6% in premarket trading Monday after the company said late Friday that it would embed a team of evaluators inside Anthropic to stress-test its AI models. The AI company called the partnership an important step toward its commitment to pace development of the technology. Accenture’s shares are down roughly 30% this year on market jitters about corporate IT spending and concern that AI tools could take away business from professional-services firms.
By tying their bottom lines to how much AI they can sell, consultants have created a conflict of interest that erodes their clients’ trust.
