Ciena (CIEN) trades near $334, a little over half its 52-week high, and the easy read on an AI networking supplier down that far is that it has gone on sale. The networking company also expects adjusted operating margins of 32% to 35% and free cash flow margins of about 20% by fiscal 2029.

Corning shares slid 14% on Monday following a $2 billion equity offering announcement.

Lumentum is the best-performing S&P 500 stock Wednesday, and Coherent isn’t far behind. Corning is seeing smaller gains.

Ciena just bounced hard off a brutal month-long selloff, but Corning is barely moving while the broader market sits in the red. The divergence inside the optics sector points to something more specific than a simple reversal.
