SpaceX (NASDAQ:SPCX) shares continued their remarkable advance in premarket trading on Tuesday, building on strong gains from their first two sessions as a public company and pushing the aerospace group toward a market capitalization of nearly $3 trillion. The S&P 500 closed Monday at 7,554.29, up 1.65%, as the Nasdaq surged 3.1%. This sharp rally appeared closely tied to geopolitical developments. On Sunday, June 14, President Trump announced the US-Iran peace deal via Truth Social, simultaneously authorizing the toll-free reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and removing the naval blockade. Consequently, WTI crude dropped roughly 5% to around $80, while Brent fell to $83, their lowest levels in months. The S&P now walks into one of the most consequ

Microsoft (MSFT) hasn't ruled out spinning out or restructuring its Xbox gaming unit as a subsidiary
Microsoft is considering options for its Xbox gaming unit, including a potential spinoff or restructuring as a wholly owned subsidiary, the Information reported on Friday, citing three people with direct knowledge of the discussions. The Windows maker is also weighing options such as creating a joint venture with other partners as it prepares to overhaul the unit, which could make the gaming business easier to sell, the report said. Xbox has struggled in recent years as Microsoft's bet on subscriptions and cloud gaming failed to offset declining console sales and a shortage of blockbuster titles.

FAANG had a good run, but a new acronym is taking over: MANGOS — Meta (or Microsoft, depending on who you ask), Anthropic, Nvidia, Google, OpenAI, and SpaceX. Half of that bunch is heading to public markets in the same window, and it’s a stress test for investors, for valuations, and for […]

JPMorgan data show hedge funds cut positions in the biggest U.S. tech names, with some adding bearish bets, just before SpaceX began trading Friday
South Korean memory chipmaker SK Hynix is looking to choose the Nasdaq for its planned U.S. listing, two sources familiar with the matter said, opting for the technology-heavy bourse to capitalize on investor appetite for AI-linked stocks. The planned listing as early as August comes after a 230% surge in SK Hynix's share price this year, lifting its market value above $1 trillion in May. The U.S. listing is expected to broaden the company's investor base and raise its profile among global investors. The company selected Nasdaq over the New York Stock Exchange, said the sources, who declined to be identified because the information was not public.
Hedge funds sold out of the biggest U.S. tech stocks, and some even added bearish positions, according to data from a JPMorgan note late Thursday, just before SpaceX was set to go public on Friday. Shares in the "Magnificent Seven" -- a group that includes some of the biggest tech names on Wall Street, namely Nvidia, Apple, Amazon.com, Alphabet, Meta, Tesla, and Microsoft, have all declined since last Friday. The Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF, which tracks these stocks closely, declined over 2.4% since June 5, with some analysts saying investors were clearing their decks in order to prepare for the debut of Elon Musk's Space X on Friday.
As states like Ohio move to increase their regulation of data centers and reduce their subsidies for the businesses behind them, the costs of building and operating them could increase significantly.
