The Morning Bull - US Market Morning Update Friday, Jun, 5 2026 US stock futures are mixed this morning, with Dow contracts edging higher while S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures slip, as investors weigh strong US demand against stubborn inflation and higher rate expectations. The ISM Services index sits at 54.5, a reading that signals many service businesses are still busy, which tends to support jobs and spending. At the same time, durable goods orders are up 4.8%, showing solid appetite for big...

2 Restaurant Stocks to Research Further and 1 We Find Risky

From fast food to fine dining, restaurants play a vital societal role. But the side dish is that they’re quite difficult to operate because high inventory and labor costs generally lead to thin margins at the store level. This leaves little room for error if demand dries up, and it seems like the market has some reservations as the industry has tumbled by 5.6% over the past six months. This drop is a noticeable divergence from the S&P 500’s 11% return.

S&P 500 Won’t Change Rules for SpaceX

S&P Dow Jones Indices said Thursday it won't fast-track the inclusion of SpaceX and this year's other giant IPOs into the S&P 500. Rules governing the benchmark stock index require newly listed companies to trade on an exchange for at least a year and to show a track record of liquidity and profitability before they become eligible for inclusion.
