When Will SpaceX Shares Start Trading?

SpaceX executives are set to ring the Nasdaq’s opening bell in New York City, but shares in buzzy initial public offerings don’t usually start trading until later in the day. Bankers leading an IPO typically want to match buyers and sellers for about 10% of the shares sold before opening trading to lessen volatility. Because pre-IPO investors are restricted from selling shares for a while, it can take time to find willing sellers among those who bought shares in a high-demand IPO.

SpaceX, Anthropic, OpenAI Can Rewrite History for Megacap IPOs

But upcoming listings from SpaceX, Anthropic and OpenAI are big enough and systemically important enough to the market that those analogies may not apply. Most Read from BloombergHouse Republican Says Hegseth’s D-Day Remarks ‘Inappropriate’OpenAI Joins a Massive AI IPO Pipeline Now Worth $3.6 TrillionLA Mayor Race Flips as Socialist Beats Reality TV Star PrattTrump’s $1

US says BYD, Baidu and Alibaba and other tech giants are aiding China's military

The U.S. on Monday issued an updated list of Chinese companies it believes are aiding Beijing's military, including e-commerce group Alibaba, Internet search provider Baidu and automaker BYD. The long-awaited update supersedes ‌a list from early 2025, and comes less than a month after President Donald Trump met China's Xi Jinping on a ‌visit to Beijing, where the two leaders maintained a delicate trade war truce. In February, when Trump's trip to China had been pending, the Pentagon briefly posted an updated list, known as the 1260H or CMC list, but then quickly withdrew it with little explanation.
