This Market Barometer Is Sending a Warning Sign

Vestmo, a quantitative research firm we track at the Barron’s Investor Circle, sent an update on its market barometer on Friday. The barometer takes into account seven different factors, including things such as earnings variability and price momentum. Vestmo noted higher rates, rising oil prices, and a “less supportive” Federal Reserve that is more likely to hike interest rates than cut them are among the drivers of the more risk-off stance.
