Sept 4 (Reuters) - Futures tracking the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 and the benchmark S&P 500 indexes rose on Friday ahead of jobs data that could test the recent momentum in equities.

U.S. added 162,000 jobs in August, while wage growth continued to lag inflation

U. S. stock futures were little changed on Friday as investors awaited the August nonfarm payrolls report and assessed comments from Federal Reserve officials on the interest-rate outlook.

The all-stock deal remains subject to state and federal approvals, with completion still expected in H2 2027.

Although headline inflation is projected to decline, a far more important price-change measure is predicted to reaccelerate.

All eyes were on the August jobs report for clues about the health of the labor market and whether the data could tip Fed interest rate bets one way or the other.
