UBS has initiated coverage on five AI data center colocation stocks with Buy ratings, citing constrained compute supply and favorable power access positioning the group for rapid growth as AI adoption accelerates. The bank started coverage of Hut 8 Mining Corp (TSX:HUT, Unlisted (US):HUTMF),...

If you own Applied Digital (APLD), one question keeps coming back. The company keeps signing enormous data center leases. Yet the shares sit well below their high of the past year. What is known is the contracted amount: $36 billion of long-term lease value. What is not known is how much of it ever reaches shareholders.
UBS said it sees data-center infrastructure positioned for “rapid growth” with AI adoption expanding and model developers facing limited computing capacity.

The hopeful view of MARA (MARA) is that it is becoming a power and data center business, not only a Bitcoin miner. Management expects its power portfolio to reach about 4.8 gigawatts once pending deals close, more than double today's capacity. For that to pay off, the deals must close and turn into AI leases, and MARA's Bitcoin must carry it until then. The Long Ridge power deal looks close to a decision. The Bitcoin cushion is holding, but much of it is now pledged against loans.

IREN rapidly pivots to AI infrastructure, with 5GW+ of power secured and billions in contracted ARR fueling its expansion.
Rothschild called Neocloud earnings and valuations "cyclically inflated" but remains ‘Neutral’ on AI infrastructure overall.

Cipher Digital (CIFR) stock fell 36.2% over the past three months. Over twelve months it is still up 54.1%, against 15.5% for the S&P 500. The company is moving from bitcoin mining to leasing data centers to hyperscale tenants. In past market shocks, the stock fell hard and bounced back fast.

Applied Digital (APLD) stock has fallen about 47% over the trailing three months. The business moved the other way. Contracted lease value more than doubled between its fiscal Q3 2026 and fiscal Q4 2026 reports. The upside case here is simple, but not quick: capacity the company has already sold still has to be built, come online and start paying rent.
Wells Fargo initiated coverage of Core Scientific, Hut 8, Cipher Mining and TeraWulf with ‘Overweight’ ratings.

Bitcoin miners turned AI hosts are surging together in a session with no news driving any of them, and that gap between the cohort and the broader data center basket reveals exactly what kind of trade is actually happening here.

Shares of Cipher Mining (NASDAQ:CIFR) are up 9% to $16.42 in early Wednesday trading after the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) disclosed conditional grid capacity covering 3.2 gigawatts across Cipher’s Texas projects. The disclosure came through the state grid operator’s Batch Zero process rather than through a company release, which is why the move […]

Applied Digital just crossed into negative territory for 2026 while the broader data center ETF barely blinked, and that gap between the small hosting names and the wider infrastructure basket is telling investors something important about where this trade goes next.

CoinShares said on Tuesday that at least 35 EH/s of computing power will leave the listed miners in the third quarter.

Applied Digital (APLD) trades near $26, about 47% below its high of the past twelve months, after returning -36.3% over three months. Over twelve months, though, it is still up 55.6%. Nothing in the operation broke: it beat the quarter it reported in July 2026, and management says every project is on time and on budget. So how far can a stock like this fall.

At about $15.90 a share, Cipher Digital (CIFR) trades at 34.1 times sales, against 3.1 for the S&P 500, while its quarterly revenue falls. But those sales were booked before its data centers collected any rent. What you are buying is three leases, the debt raised to build them, and a pipeline tied largely to the Texas grid.

Core Scientific separately reported conditional ERCOT treatment covering roughly 1.4 GW. Its Denton campus has 297 MW classified as base load, with another 74 MW already recognized outside Batch Zero.…

Applied Digital is turning power-advantaged sites into AI capacity, with 1.4 GW of contracted critical IT load tied to about $36 billion in lease revenue.

IREN, Hut 8, Cipher Digital, CleanSpark, Galaxy Digital, Soluna, Ionic Digital, and Core Scientific all have conditional approval for either base load, studied load, or both in ERCOT's Batch Zero.

Today, we open with a stock update, focusing on Cipher Digital, Core Scientific, and Ionic Digital’s announcements for their Batch Zero designations. We also cover how SpaceX is rehauling its…

Denton and most of the Hunt and Pecos capacity received base-load treatment, while another 300 MW at Pecos remains subject to ERCOT’s allocation process.

Core Scientific, Inc. (NASDAQ:CORZ) said it received conditional approvals from the Electric Reliability Council of Texas for electrical power capacity across its data centre sites in Denton, Pecos and Hunt, Texas.

Even as the stock price continues to climb, this insider wanted more shares.

AMD's revenue has nearly doubled in two years, while Marvell's has climbed 80%—but the gap between them is widening.
A top Wall Street analyst is standing behind a bold price target on IREN while the stock sits deep in the red, and the gap between where shares trade today and where the bulls say they belong tells a story worth understanding before the next earnings catalyst hits.

AI data centers are competing with Bitcoin miners for premium power sites, pushing mining toward cheaper, underused energy sources.

Applied Digital (APLD) has fallen 44.3% over the past three months while the S&P 500 returned 1.4%, and at about $24.90 the stock sits roughly 50% below its 52-week high. It still trades at 12.4 times sales against 3.2 for the S&P 500. Both are true at once, because the price has little to do with the business you can see today.
