Investing.com -- Costco Wholesale Corporation (NASDAQ: COST) closed out its 2026 fiscal year with a roar, delivering fourth-quarter results that handily beat Wall Street’s top- and bottom-line expectations.

Although the revenue and EPS for Costco (COST) give a sense of how its business performed in the quarter ended August 2026, it might be worth considering how some key metrics compare with Wall Street estimates and the year-ago numbers.

Costco Wholesale reported a higher profit in its fiscal fourth quarter, boosted by growth in both net sales and membership fees. The company logged a profit of $3 billion, or $6.75 a share, in the quarter ended Aug. 30. Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting a profit of $6.54 a share on $94.97 billion in revenue.

Membership revenue declined for a third-straight quarter for Costco as fees rose 7.3% year over year to $1.5 billion, missing the mark on analyst estimates of $1.8 billion.
