SPCX briefly reclaimed a $2 trillion market cap as Starlink growth, launch dominance and AI ambitions fueled investor optimism despite execution risks.

Its valuation based on its last private funding round was close to $1 trillion. With the IPO, it aims to double that.

Tesla (TSLA) has launched its new driverless Cybercab at an event last night, rolling out the new autonomous vehicle as part of its robotaxi service in Austin, Texas, starting Friday night. Morning Brief Host Julie Hyman is joined by Yahoo Finance Breaking Business News Reporter Jake Conley and Interactive Brokers Chief Strategist Steve Sosnick to discuss the latest autonomous addition to Tesla's lineup.

SpaceX's IPO is reshaping space investing, while diversified ETFs offer exposure to the industry's growth and help mitigate stock-specific risks.

Tesla just put driverless Cybercabs on Austin streets, but the loudest question on Wall Street has nothing to do with robotaxis. Prediction markets are pricing something far bigger, and it could redefine what Tesla even is by 2027.

Tesla's Cybercab made its Austin debut with rides and fanfare, but the launch raised more questions than it answered about scale, safety approvals, and who actually profits if the robotaxi bet pays off.

Nine hundred million dollars in call premium flooded into Tesla before the Cybercab reveal, and options desks called the flow notably bullish. What traders rarely tell you is why that kind of positioning usually misleads the people following it most closely.

London news outlet The Times recently reported that Russia’s effort to build a Starlink-like satellite constellation to help in its war efforts with Ukraine is failing. Russia has launched dozens of satellites, with many failing to reach the appropriate orbit, leaving Russian troops with limited ability to use satellites to guide drones. It is SpaceX’s space-based broadband product with thousands of satellites in orbit, millions of subscribers, and billions in annual earnings.

SpaceX put most of its capex into SpaceXAI, its AI division.

The Cybercab has finally arrived, with less fanfare than investors are used to. Tesla teased a Cybercab event weeks ago, signaling the introduction of its purpose-built robo-taxis, with no pedals or steering wheel. The launch took place and Tesla says Cybercab rides open to the public on Friday.

SpaceX debuted as one of the most anticipated IPOs in history, yet the stock still sits below its first closing price while one analyst has staked out a target that towers above every other call on Wall Street.

Starlink has no such limitations.

SpaceX (NASDAQ:SPCX) and Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) shares advanced on Thursday, with SpaceX gaining 6. 42% and Tesla rising 5.

Analyst Gene Munster predicted Tesla would add 300 Cybercabs in Austin over the next month, calling it “just the start.”

The modest uplift in fair value for Space Exploration Technologies from about US$213.50 to about US$222.32 signals a small reset in where analysts see the stock’s central case settling. That shift comes against a very wide range of Street price targets, from US$75 to US$800, as firms debate how sustainable the company’s current trajectory is and what that implies for valuation risk. As you read on, you will see how to track these moving targets and keep up with the evolving analyst story...
