And every time I visited the U.S., stopping by a Chipotle to eat became a must because as you’re walking down the streets, you’re exploring, and you get really hungry, and it’s just such a great option, so that’s what started catching my attention. It became a regular thing, and I became a huge fan. Now that it’s here in Monterrey, I think it’s awesome to have it so close by.”

:: Chipotle's move into Mexico follows two failed Taco Bell attempts, as locals favored authentic Mexican food

:: Pablo de Brito, Chipotle General Manager in Mexico

“Several people asked me: What has Chipotle’s entry into Mexico meant? The reality is that it has meant a lot of work and a lot of research. How does Chipotle’s value proposition connect with Mexican consumers? Asian shares sink, with Tokyo down nearly 5% as slumping AI stocks drag world markets lower

Asian shares skidded Friday, with Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 down 5% as heavy selling of computer chipmakers and other AI-related shares dragged markets lower. Stocks related to artificial intelligence have been under pressure for weeks because of worries that their prices have shot too high and that voracious demand for computer memory and processors may not be sustainable if AI ends up not producing as much profit and productivity as promised. Oil prices surged as fighting in the Middle East intensified, while U.S. futures slipped.
