SpaceX’s (SPCX) historic IPO kicked off with a valuation few companies ever touch. Consequently, it also left investors wondering how much upside is left, or whether profit-taking is about to begin. SpaceX's stock, priced at $135, raised $75 billion, opening a brand new chapter for Elon Musk’s ...

SpaceX executives are set to ring the Nasdaq’s opening bell in New York City, but shares in buzzy initial public offerings don’t usually start trading until later in the day. Bankers leading an IPO typically want to match buyers and sellers for about 10% of the shares sold before opening trading to lessen volatility. Because pre-IPO investors are restricted from selling shares for a while, it can take time to find willing sellers among those who bought shares in a high-demand IPO.

WuXi AppTec said on Thursday it has filed a complaint at a U.S. district court against the Department of Defense for including the company in a list linked to the Chinese military. The drug developer is part of a list of Chinese companies that includes Alibaba, internet search provider Baidu, and automakers BYD and NIO, which the United States believes are aiding Beijing's military. The list released on Monday includes a broad swathe of China's top technology firms key to advancing Beijing's military and industrial prowess, reflecting Washington's security concerns amid intense geopolitical competition between the countries.
Size creates attention. SpaceX is targeting a raise of approximately $75 billion at a fixed IPO price of $135 per share, implying a valuation of up to $1.75 trillion.

A rush of mega-IPOs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX could mint fortunes—and test whether the AI boom has gotten ahead of itself.
(Bloomberg) -- The history of megacap initial public offerings shows that the stocks usually slump in the first year of trading. Some well-known companies were added to the annually updated list, which designates them as a U.S. national-security risk.
Investing.com -- The Pentagon added Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., BYD Co. and Baidu Inc. to its list of companies that support the Chinese military on Monday. The announcement was posted to the Federal Register and updates the Defense Department’s roster of companies believed to aid the People’s Liberation Army.
The U.S. on Monday issued an updated list of Chinese companies it believes are aiding Beijing's military, including e-commerce group Alibaba, Internet search provider Baidu and automaker BYD. The long-awaited update supersedes a list from early 2025, and comes less than a month after President Donald Trump met China's Xi Jinping on a visit to Beijing, where the two leaders maintained a delicate trade war truce. In February, when Trump's trip to China had been pending, the Pentagon briefly posted an updated list, known as the 1260H or CMC list, but then quickly withdrew it with little explanation.
