Anthropic PBC is set to finalize an expansion of its revolving credit facility to $15 billion, according to people familiar with the matter, clearing a hurdle before the artificial intelligence firm's public filing for its highly anticipated IPO. Morgan Stanley is leading the process, the people said. Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. also have prominent roles on the facility, along with Citigroup Inc., they said. The four lenders are also leading the IPO, Bloomberg News has reported. The Claude chatbot maker is seeking to raise as much as SpaceX or more in the initial public offering, people familiar with the preparations have said. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500 and Nasdaq edged lower today as a strong August jobs report provided another datapoint for Federal Reserve policy expectations. Also, diesel prices hit a record high, and another retail brand, Lululemon Athletica, took an earnings hit.

Chip stocks are standing out in what's shaping up to be a weak day on Wall Street. The Nasdaq has joined the other major indexes in trading lower after the jobs report as semiconductor stock gains weren't enough to offset broader weakness. The downturn came after news that the U.S. economy added more than double the jobs expected in August, fueling a brief spike in already high Treasury yields.
